ThorfinnKarlsefni

Thorfinn Karlsefni (Old Norse: Þorfinnr karlsefni Þórðarson, Icelandic: Þorfinnur karlsefni Þórðarson) was an Icelandic explorer who was instrumental in the development of the first European settlement in the New World. There are no known information on when or where he was born and it is only believed that he passed some time around or after 1016. His declaration to recover the book known as The Shepherd's Journal led to the first true formation of the Keepers of the Journal.

Failed Expedition[]

It is believed that in 997, Thorfinn led a expedition to find the lost continent of Atlantis based on the directions recorded in the book known as The Shepherd's Journal. He would be the sole survivor, washing up on shore in Iceland barely alive and explaining how the expedition was destroyed by a large creature twice the size of their ship. Among those lost was the book itself.

Thorfinn vowed to recover the book and bring it back to it's "rightful" home in Iceland. Coincidentally, Thorfinn's son Snorri Thorfinnsson would come into possession of the book long after his father had passed.
